A note from the editor…

May Wall Press is my baby, my silly rabbit, my decrepit hovel. It’s a little bit of everything I ever was, and a little bit of nothin’ much. Above all it is a space for work that demands to exist, even just online, even just for a moment. My dream is that it will expand into a full-bodied literary event, a print edition, a sexy magazine, or some kind of virtual bohemian salon. For now, it’s just a SubStack.

I named this project after my great great grandmother Emma May Wall, born in Liverpool in 1880. She was a seamstress.
